Exhibitor Spotlight EVOLVE [25] Edition: British Interactive Media Association (BIMA)

Tell us a bit about what you do and how you help people.

We are a membership organisation that supports the digital and tech community locally and nationally. We run events, several awards schemes, plus learning and development programmes.

What difference do you make in the world?

We help our members succeed by attracting talent, recognising achievements and up-skilling teams through a wide range of professional development initiatives.

How and why did you first get involved with EVOLVE [25]?

We are part of the local tech scene. We support our local members and run local and national initiatives, including Digital Day, which everyone can join.

Why do you think events like EVOLVE are good for the city and the region?

It is great that Evolve brought the local tech community together so we can all learn from each other. Evolve is a welcome addition to the world-class events already held here, including Brighton SEO and Develop. These events help put Brighton on the tech leadership map.

What did you get from the day? Tell us about any outcomes or impact.

We met some amazing people who are now part of our network of future members and collaborators.

What were your highlights and main takeaways from the day?

It was great to reconnect with existing and prospective members. It was wonderful to see so many people out on the day, including so many students interested in joining the industry.

Back to you: What company initiatives or projects are you most proud of?

Our annual Digital Day event helps raise awareness about digital careers, and our work experience programmes help gain practical experience and connections that lead to employment.

What are the perks of working with / for you?

We are powerful peer community where members learn from and support each other. Everyone is stronger when we work together.

Do you have any projects, initiatives or events coming up that we should know about?

BIMA Digital Day — which takes place on the 12th of Nov 2025 — is now open for registration https://bima.co.uk/bima-programmes/bima-digital-day/. Everyone is invited to take part. It is a fun experiential learning day for students ages 11-16. Tech pros and agencies will be matched with a local school to lead this event with support from BIMA.
