For our first event of the year we are joined by the brilliant Paddy Osmond who will sharing with us how ZOE use technology to improve the health of millions.
ZOE is a Boston and London-based company which builds software for tracking individuals’ nutrition response patterns. ZOE works with scientists and thousands of participants – combining large-scale data and machine learning to predict personal reactions to any meal.
Paddy will be taking us behind the scenes sharing what’s its like to work at ZOE, their mission, motivations and methodology!
Next Carl Nicholson will be taking us through Greening the Spark, a comprehensive model designed to simulate the entire electricity generation, distribution, storage, and consumption system, resembling a national grid.
Developed over three years, the model serves as a demonstrator for an interactive museum exhibit and game. The system looks at different scenarios based on weather conditions, consumer demand, and various power usage.
And of course we will have time to chat over pizza and drinks, as aways. If you are not able to make it, don’t worry you can still watch via the live stream (if not attending in person then you don’t need to sign up for the meetup) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXtyCFfbypM
