About Kitty Horlick…
Kitty is the founder of Blackwood, a consultancy firm focused on onboarding traditional businesses into emergent technologies including AI and web3-associated technologies such as blockchain, NFTs, the metaverse and cryptocurrencies. As well as running Blackwood, she is a Director at Rarify Labs which is counteracting the threat of AI to digital identities and content provenance through blockchain-based solutions.
A long-term adopter of, and investor in cryptocurrencies and NFTs with over six years of experience in the space, she joined Ehab – a start-up devoted to revolutionising the construction industry through blockchain – as early as 2017. She is an insider, deeply embedded in the industry and with her finger closely on the pulse of the latest trends and challenges. In 2023 Kitty was the expert chosen to appear on a BBC Radio 4 programme examining crypto, blockchain and web3.
Though a deep believer in the disruptive potentials of AI, blockchain, the metaverse, and NFTs, Kitty is not an evangelist. Her focus as a speaker and consultant is on delineating the substance from the hype, and deftly identifying both the opportunities, limitations, and threats that these technologies present.

About the Panel
Chaired by Maria Restuccia, a lecturer in Marketing at the University of Sussex Business School. She is an educator, researcher and freelance consultant passionate about innovation and business-to-business marketing, with a focus on the creative industries.
She will lead the panel discussion bringing into the debate her own research and findings from her most recent project, funded by the British Academy, exploring the experience of UK artists with Non-Fungible Tokens.
Milo Bowman is a crypto-native entrepreneur and web3 expert. He is the founder of Brighton Blockchain, where he has been connecting the crypto community since 2021. He advises people, brands, and businesses on blockchain technology, and engages in governance roles across multiple DAOs.
Lavinia D. Osbourne is an established agent for change in blockchain, an entrepreneur at the vanguard of web3 development, and a futurist for the emergent metaverse. Through her work as the Founder of Women in Blockchain Talks, she has won and been nominated for numerous awards and accolades including a 2021 LinkedIn Top Voice in Tech & Innovation, and Cog X Gender Leadership. Winner 2022, runner up in 2023.
Kornel Kot has a background in AI, having worked on self-driving vehicles and smart cameras in Taiwan in 2019. He later transitioned to Emerging Technology, serving as Head of Blockchain Recruitment and supporting various Web3 Projects. In 2022, Kornel founded W3CONN3CT, a network company connecting Emerging Tech: Web3, AI, XR, Gaming, and DeFi.
