  • For the first time, Brighton AI and Sussex AI are collaborating to bring the city’s thriving AI community together for a groundbreaking evening of controversy, exploration and debate.
  • You won’t just be a spectator—you’ll be at the heart of it all. Through potent interactive software, we’ll challenge you to tackle real-world ethical dilemmas surrounding the rise of AI in our communities.
  • Each scenario comes with rich context, and you’ll get the chance to vote on tough choices and anonymously share your perspective. With just your smartphone, you’ll actively shape the discussion and see the live results of our audience poll as they unfold.
  • At the end, our expert panel, will break down the collective view, highlighting areas of consensus, division, and key points of debate.

  • Prof. Novi Quadrianto – Machine Learning scientist and a Professor of Machine Learning at the University of Sussex.

The Department for Business & Trade (DBT) Technology Foreign Direct Investment Team
Colleagues from the DBT Technology Foreign Direct Investment Team will be joining us. DBT are the department for economic growth. They support businesses to invest, grow and export, creating jobs and opportunities across the country. The Technology Foreign Direct Investment Team focus on matching a pipeline of foreign investors interested in setting up or growing in locations across the UK (with a focus on AI, Quantum, Semi-Conductors, Cybersecurity and Telecoms). They are visiting the Greater Brighton region to find out why it is a great place for Technology businesses and are attending our event to gain first-hand experience of our support ecosystem for Technology businesses.
