Join us for Meetup #9 of the AWS Brighton User Group!
First up, there will be a lightning talk by James Turner of Esparter:
The cost-effective use of AWS Lambda and DynamoDB for order processing.
Esparter developed OrderWhizz as a side project to allow individuals and small clubs an easy and cheap way to provide online ticket ordering. The talk will show how we use AWS Lambda, DynamoDB and S3 to implement a cost-effective back-end. The emphasis will be on order-processing performance and how we cope with very spikey workloads.
After the talk, we will play AWS Builder Cards! Karl & Jon carried the cards all the way back from re:Invent in Las Vegas so we could teach the AWS Brighton User Group to play, so we’re excited to finally get the chance!
Don’t worry if you don’t know how to play – we’ll walk you through the game. If you want to get a headstart, check out the AWS Builder Cards page.
Our supporters, Silicon Brighton, will live-stream the event on YouTube.
RSVP now for this free event, where you can network with peers, learn from our distinguished speakers, and enjoy free beer and pizza courtesy of our sponsor, Logicata.
