SUMMARY:Brighton and Hove - People\, Planet\, Pint: Sustainability Meetup
DESCRIPTION:Pop down to your local People Planet Pint meetup to find more
about what's going on locally with sustainability and how you can get inv
 olved.\n\nNo pitches\, powerpoints or panels. Just People\, Planet\, Pint/
s.\n\nYour local meetup is a great place to start your journey or continue
learning\, and meet diverse people to chat about life and how we can sust
ain it. Every job is a climate job\, so come along and learn about how you
can take action\, as well as what is going on locally.\n\nWe welcome ever
yone\, regardless of their experience or background. People Planet Pint is
a space where everyone can feel comfortable learning about sustainability
and sharing their ideas.\n\nAfterall\, creating a sustainable future requ
ires connected communities. And what better way to bring everyone together
than over a drink?\n\nPrefer a Pastry to a Pint? Head along to ‘People
Planet Pastry’! Equally relaxed and welcoming\, they run during the day
and offer an informal way to learn about what is going on locally in susta
inability.\nYour Volunteer Hosts\nSam Zindel is Managing Director of Brig
hton-based digital marketing agency Propellernet. He led the company’s
B Corp certification and is committed to doing everything possible to hel
p restore our climate using business as a force for positive change. A gra
duate of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadersh
ip\, Sam runs Low Carbon Leaders\, co-founded The Million Tree Pledge a
nd works closely with Clean Growth UK and our local authorities on busines
s transition to net zero. Connect with him on LinkedIn.\n\nEd Chinn\n\nI'
m focused on creating a positive impact through my work\, for the wider co
mmunity and (as much as possible) the planet. Essentially\, leaving the wo
rld in a better place than I found it. I look to do this connecting people
\, ideas and insights via groups like People\, Planet\, Pint! as well as L
inkedIn and Twitter. I’m a keen advocate of positive action through inno
vation\, conscious capitalism and building a more circular economy. Via a
range of sources\, including fellowship of the RSA and podcasts (I highly
recommend John Richardson and the Futurenauts!) to name a couple\, I am pa
ssionate about educating myself about how I can be a better citizen and an
 cestor.\n\nGrace Prior\n\nWith a career spanning hospitality\, marketing a
nd recruitment across global organisations before joining Silicon Brighton
\, Grace is passionate about making Brighton the destination for people in
technology. If you're a technologist looking to become a community advoca
te\, or a business looking to get behind our mission through event or wide
r strategic partnership opportunities\, then get in touch.\n\nSilicon Brig
hton\n\nSilicon Brighton is a community-led initiative supporting digital
growth in the South East. We really believe in Brighton\, its people\, and
its potential. Working hand-in-hand with the local tech community\, we su
pport a number of Meetups across the city\, providing individuals with fre
 e opportunities for networking\, training\, up-skilling and development\,
helping them to take their careers and businesses forward.
