This month, we are diving deep into natural language processing. We are very proud to have Matthew Franglen, a staff machine learning engineer at Brandwatch, presenting to the forum. Brandwatch is a social intelligence company, which scans the global online conversation (from social media, blogs, news, forums, etc) and mines it for subtle insights, trends, and connections.

Matthew will tell us about some of the advanced technology that he and the data science team at Brandwatch have developed for understanding the notoriously complex natural language text from the web.

Title: Entity Disambiguation
A deep dive into entity disambiguation at Brandwatch – how we discover the subjects of conversation and run that at scale, processing hundreds of millions of documents a day.

So please join us for a chance to learn practical tips from a practitioner at the leading edge of NLP technologies.

The event will take place at Brandwatch’s offices on Church street. You will need to sign in at the reception, which will check against the list of registered guests.

Following Matthew’s talk, and the question-and-answer session, the attendees are invited to optionally come along to the nearby Earth and stars nearby pub for continuing the conversation.
