—— Talk One ——
Silvia Larasatul M. (GAOGAO Pte. Ltd / PyLadies Indonesia)
Unify Your Python Project with Bots Across Multiple Chat Platforms:
Discover how Python can power your projects to different chat platforms, like Telegram, WhatsApp, and Discord, so they can send and receive messages automatically. Silvia will guide us through the basic steps to set up a bot on each platform, how to handle incoming messages, and how to send replies. Also how to error handle, test and debug it locally, and apply these same techniques to any AI project – whether it’s face recognition, natural language processing, or beyond.
Along the way, we will tackle real-world challenges: handling different message formats, keeping your bot up and running without missing a beat. By the end of the session, you’ll not only understand the full workflow but also walk away with working demo code you can try at home, so you can start building your own Python bots right away.
—— Talk Two ——
Dave Bottrill (David Bottrill Consulting)
Making Rust Extensions For Python:
One of the few weaknesses of the Python language is performance, but using the Rust language to create Extensions, enables developers to improve this known issue.
Using the Pyo3 and Maturin tools, Dave will show us how we can create the required bindings and code, to start that journey to improved performance.
—— General Information ——
