Our next BrightonPy event is coming up soon and we have not one, but two brilliant speakers lined up for you!

First Adrian Causby, a software engineer from EDF, will be taking us through a a serverless journey with the Power of Cloud Computing. Adrian will introduce us to the concept of serverless architecture and how it can be used to deploy important tools, like the one used by Energy Traders at EDF. With the help of AWS free tier accounts, we’ll go through a step-by-step application deployment in under an hour, using AWS Lambda, API Gateways, S3 buckets, and Dynamo DB to create a fully functioning front-end UI.

Then we have Dan Incorvaja, a freelance Data Scientist, helping us with our expressions in the Search for Love. Dan will be sharing his word cloud, created from the essays produced by each of the 54k+ profiles from the dating site Ok Cupid, so we can see what people chat about most when looking for love.

For those of you who are new around here, welcome! We are an awesome, friendly group who like to talk Python over pizza and drinks in Brighton. Hope to see you at the event.

If you are unable to make it, we’ve got you covered – watch the talks with our livestream (you don’t need to sign up for this).

Do you fancy speaking at a Brighton Py event? Get in touch if you have Python knowledge and a story to share.
