Brighton R – February Meetup

Hello BrightonR! Happy New Year! 🙂

We are ecstatic to be holding our February event in Runway East in Brighton. Presented by R-extraordinaire, Jeremy Horne, Director at Datacove.

To begin, we are thrilled to be hosting a lightning talk by our very own, Abbie Brookes, Senior Analyst and AI Consultant at Datacove. She will be sharing a short presentation on the EARL Conference. What is the EARL Conference, you ask? Well… you’ll have to wait to find out!

After, we have the pleasure of being joined by the recent University of Bristol Graduate, Olivia Burgess, who is taking us all on a journey with her talk titled, “The Studentification of Brighton and Hove“. A talk created perfectly for everyone – beginner or advanced! She continues to explain, “This talk is an insight into my final year University of Bristol project – The Studentification of Brighton and Hove. I will dive into the aims, data collection and results of the study, with the result of making the audience ‘see’ a city differently. To fundamentally answer, what drives segregation in Brighton and Hove.”

Now, for the part you are all waiting for – refreshments! Drinks and nibbles will be served from 6pm. The talks will commence at 7pm and the event will conclude at 8pm.

The conversation will continue after the event at The Joker Pub (Preston Road), for anyone who wishes to continue talking all things R!
