‘ggameboy’. Or what else we can do with ggplot2
We are pleased to welcome Tobias Stalder, Project Associate R&D at Grolimund+Partner AG, to talk at the next Brighton R meetup.
Tobias will be sharing how he built a cool data visualisation package using ggplot2 that allows you to create custom coloured Gameboy pictures!
The gameboy_plot() function allows you to change the colours of every aspect of a Gameboy wireframe, including the ability to add custom screen text messages.
So, if you’re interested in learning about some fun data visualisation things you can get up to with your data in ggplot2, then this is a talk not to be missed!
Following the presentation, you will have an opportunity to ask questions about the project and chat with others from the local Brighton R community.
ggplot2 is part of the tidyverse ecosystem of R packages, which allows you to assign variables to your data and then map onto aesthetics. You can checkout Tobias’s Github here, which includes a repository about the ggameboy project.
More speakers to be announced soon!
