We’re back in full force this May with a great talk by the even greater Steve McDougall who many of you will already know through the never-ending stream of quality content he puts on the Internet.
Steve is a Developer Advocate at Treblle, a company helping teams build and maintain APIs through an extensive collection of tools such as Aspen, a macOS application to test APIs locally.
In his presentation, Steve will demonstrate how to build performant APIs with Laravel from scratch, covering design best practices and optimisation techniques in the process. There will be many things to learn, whether you’re already familiar with Laravel or not (details further down).
This event will be hybrid, meaning you can either join in person or online (please register for the meetup either way!):
The in-person event will take place at Runway East in Brighton from 6:30 pm. There will be food and drinks and you’re welcome to come have a chat before the talk starts (around 7 pm).
Online participants can join the live stream from 7 pm.
Here is how Steve introduces his talk:
“Master how to build performant APIs with Laravel, by following along this walkthrough.
