About Future Angels
Future Angels is an initiative that aims to enable and empower underrepresented individuals to get started on their angel investor journey. Currently, only 15-18% of all angel investors are women, just 1% of angel investors are black, and there is a general lack of diversity of thought and experience to appropriately represent the need for capital and innovation.

The world of Venture Capital can feel quite difficult to get into, and if you don’t know anyone who is actively investing in startups, who do you learn from? How do you get started?

We launched Future Angels to provide a valuable community to the next generation of angel investors with an aim to create a space for you to meet with other like-minded individuals where you can learn, build connections, and develop the skills to become an angel investor.

We believe that by demystifying the world of Venture Capital and creating a valuable community we can make it more accessible and encourage people from all backgrounds to become angel investors.

Who should join?
Anyone who is serious about becoming an angel investor in the near future which means being able to invest anywhere from £1,000+ into multiple startups.

What is an angel investor?
An angel investor is someone who provides capital for early-stage startups and entrepreneurs, in exchange for ownership equity in the company.

Future Angels is powered by South East Angels
South East Angels was founded in late 2020 with the objective of increasing investment activity in the region. Today, the community is made up of 20+ investors who have made 10 investments to date, making the group the most active business angel investors in the city. We like to challenge the status quo of the traditional angel network by delivering a social investing experience for our members.
