 the University of Sussex’s Faculty of Science\, Engineering and Medicine
 . You’ll also have the opportunity to meet academic staff and network wi
 th fellow industry professionals from local companies.\n\n\nWhy DISCUS –
  what can we do for you?\n\n 	Connect with skilled individuals in STEM. We
 ’ll introduce you to students from the University of Sussex’s Faculty 
 of Science\, Engineering and Medicine who have been developing their exper
 tise and putting it into practice in real-world settings.\n 	Offer you the
  chance to showcase your company and the benefits of working with you to o
 ur brightest and best.\n 	Connect you with current students looking for sh
 ort-term placements and employment after graduation.\n 	Be part of shaping
  our new authentic assessment programme\, where students work on real-worl
 d problems as part of their final year / MSc project.\n 	Learn more about 
 accessing funding for your business through Knowledge Transfer Partnership
 s (KTPs)\, Smart Grants and other Innovate UK funding.\n\nThere are severa
 l registration options available:\n\n 	Free ticket without a pitch\n 	Free
  ticket with a pitch – attend and present your company without a fee (2-
 minute pitch)\n 	Standard Sponsor – £100.00 + booking fee\nYour company
  will be listed in the programme and promotional materials as an event spo
 nsor. You will receive a 5-minute speaking slot at the start of the event 
 and a designated space for your stand.\n 	Gold Sponsor – £250.00 + book
 ing fee\nYour company will be highlighted in the opening session and featu
 red prominently in the programme and promotional materials as a key sponso
 r. You will receive a 5-minute speaking slot at the start of the event and
  a premium location for your stand.\n\nHow the event will run\nWe’ll kic
 k off promptly at 6.30pm\, starting with pitches.\n\nFrom 7.30pm onwards w
 e’ll open up the floor for networking with drinks. Because we know netwo
 rking events can be intimidating for some\, we’ll also operate a matchin
 g service where we’ll make introductions by email after the event.\n\nPl
 ease note that photographs and footage will be taken throughout this event
 . These will be used by the University for marketing and publicity in our 
 publications\, on our website and in social media or in any third party pu
