This event marks the beginning of our new community hub in Brighton! Each hangout is led by an OHT team member, guiding the discussion around broad themes suggested by our community.

Why Attend?

  • Connect: Meet members of the OHT community.
  • Learn: Discover what’s happening locally in healthtech.
  • Engage: Share your ideas and get involved.
  • Contribute: We want to hear from you! Share how the community can best support you and your views on driving our mission forward in Brighton.

What do we mean by HealthTech and innovation?

Our definition is broad and includes anything where healthcare, medicine or life sciences intersects with technology. We would love to meet people who work in research, policy, data science, product management, software development, regulation, innovation, strategy, drug development, clinical trials, and those who work in small companies, bigger organisations, within government or the NHS. Whether you’re well established, at the beginning of your career or just flirting with the idea – everybody is welcome.

Meet your host:

Kate Prescott: An OHT Fellow and currently at Sussex University completing a Masters in AI and working on Global Health Technology research, Kate has experienced first-hand the challenges of medtech entrepreneurship and venture building. She is keen to meet others who care about making health innovation equitable.

Note: Please cancel your ticket if you cannot make the event to allow someone else to book. We’ve kept the numbers small for our first hangouts to create an intimate and friendly vibe. Thank you!
