About the event

The People and Culture Club is a safe space for managers, founders and leaders to come together and explore some of the hurdles that come with scaling a business.

From hiring and onboarding to courageous conversations and performance enablement, you’ll hear stories from those who’ve walked in your shoes and successfully supported their business, invested in their people and created a culture where everyone can thrive.

As a community group, the People and Culture Club is a collaborative space for sharing ideas, peer-to-peer learning and support.

It’s summer 2021 and we’ve almost made it; schools and pubs have reopened and we’re starting to make important decisions about bringing people back to work. With so many unknowns and the expectation for flexible working greater than ever, making those decisions can be tough.

Join us at our People and Culture Club launch event where Hanna Smith, Head of People at Paddle, will help you answer questions such as:

• When should the team come back to the office?

• Should we go back to the office at all?

• How can we balance the needs and expectations of the business and our people?

• What does flexible working really mean now?

Hanna is an award-winning Senior People Leader with experience of building and leading People teams for high growth businesses.

A true business partner and expert in creating high performing cultures, Hanna is also a professional coach and mentor, and regularly works with managers and leaders, additionally mentoring HR professionals.

Most recently having worked with VC backed businesses at Series A to Series C and taken part in the TechNation Upscale programme. Creating a great culture where people can thrive is Hanna’s passion.

She’s previously achieved Company recognition for Sunday Times Best 100 Small Companies to work for, Great Place to Work, Investors in People Gold standard and Best company to work for awards.
