PHP Sussex

This month, PHP Sussex welcomes guest speaker Yannick Chenot, presenting “Escaping the Code Maze.”

In this talk, Yannick introduces the Closed-by-Default Principle – a fresh take on established design concepts that helps reduce developer cognitive load by closing off unnecessary or misleading paths in code. He’ll also explore PHP’s evolution toward greater clarity and maintainability, and demonstrate how static analysis tools can enforce these principles, ensuring every code path leads somewhere meaningful.
