Sussex Azure User Group: MS Build Keynote Watch Party + App Innovation Talk

For our May meet-up we’re planning something a little different!

With the Microsoft Build Developer Conference kicking off the same day, we thought we’d enjoy our beer and pizza whilst watching the opening keynote by Satya Nadella from 5pm-6pm (GMT). It’s earlier than we would normally start but feel free to turn up at any point.

After that we’ll be joined by Matt Quinn (Head of Application Innovation at Microsoft UK) & Margaret Orton (Senior App Innovation Specialist at MIcrosoft UK) who are going to do a talk on ‘Life after Lift & Shift’. They’ll be showing us different modernization paths for legacy applications, and how the Azure Cloud can be used to convert monolithic applications to an evergreen & serverless architecture.

The venue will also be a little different this time round too. We’ll be hosting the event at Pizza Pilgrims in Brighton where they have a great event space in their basement, plus all the beer and pizza we could ever need!

As always, the talk will be livestreamed and recording shared afterwards. We hope to see you there!
