SUMMARY:Sussex Data Science - April Meetup
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to invite you to our next Sussex Data Science Me
etup. As is the way of things at the moment\, this meeting has moved onlin
e and will be conducted remotely via zoom.\nFor Aprils's event\, we are lu
cky to have Dr Melanie Ades\, a Scientist at the European Centre for Mediu
m-Range Weather Forecasts\, talking to us about:  The use of Satellite D
ata in the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service. The Copernicus Atmosph
ere Monitoring Service (CAMS) provides consistent and quality-controlled g
lobal information related to air pollution and health\, solar energy\, gre
enhouse gases and climate forcing. One of the main products is a five day
forecast of air quality. This forecast is produced using a chemical model
run as part of a numerical weather prediction system on a high performance
super computer.\nTo initialise this forecast an understanding of the curr
ent air quality is required and satellite data provides the main source of
information. However\, both the form and quantity of satellite data neces
sitates various methods of data manipulation in order to meet the requirem
ents of an operational system. \n&nbsp\;\nMore information about the even
t can be found here. \n__________________________________________________

m)3) Mojeek (https://www.mojeek.com/).We are still looking for a mix of ta
