SUMMARY:VR at Your Service
DESCRIPTION:VR at Your Service explores the shift of virtual reality from a
novelty into a powerful professional tool. By using spatial technology\,
creators can bypass the technical headaches of traditional software and de
velop ideas at the speed of thought. Instead of being stuck behind a flat
screen\, VR allows you to step directly into your work\, making the design
process natural and immediate.\nThis technology lets you work at a 1:1 sc
ale\, where you can feel the true size of a space and move objects by hand
. Beyond creation\, VR acts as a vital tool that enables researchers to "t
est drive" environments and conduct their studies before anything is built
.\nFor this event\, we are thrilled to invite Andy Baker and Dr Rafaell
 a Siagkri!\nAndy Baker\nAs a lead developer of Open Brush—the successor
to Google’s Tilt Brush—Andy is a pioneer in spatial creativity. He wil
l share his experience evolving this world-class tool and his mission to m
ake 3D creation more intuitive for every artist.\nHe will also introduce I
cosa Gallery\, his latest project focused on preserving and presenting VR
illustrations in their native form. To conclude\, Andy will discuss his br
oader vision for the future of VR technology.\nlinkedin.com/in/andybaker\n
Dr Rafaella Siagkri\nAs a Lecturer in Interior Architecture\, Dr Siagkri u
ses virtual reality (VR) to study the relationship between architecture an
d cinema. Rather than constructing physical structures\, she employs immer
sive simulation to restore and reinterpret architectural expressionist fil
m sets\, which have played a significant role in the history of both cinem
a and architecture.\nFollowing her talk\, attendees will have the exclusiv
e opportunity to step inside her simulations to experience this research.\
