After a break in August to make the most of the (almost too) sunny weather, we're back in September with a new event.

This time around I will put my speaker hat on and show you how to use PHP to build applications running in the console (more details further down).

Like the previous event this one will be hybrid, meaning you can either join in person or online. The only difference is that this time we'd like you to register for the meetup, whether you intend to attend physically or virtually!

The in-person event will take place at Spaces in Brighton from 6 pm.

Online participants can join the Zoom meeting from 6:30 pm.

When you think of command-line applications, PHP doesn't immediately come to mind. Yet the language powers many popular tools, either as independent programs or to be used within projects.

In this presentation, I will explain how to build and distribute your own PHP command-line applications, using continuous integration tools to ensure compatibility across dependency versions.

The presentation should be fairly accessible, but already being familiar with Composer and having run commands in a terminal before will help.

Hope to see you there and then!
