Event Type

  • The IMF has produced a grim economic forecast for the UK: the worst in the G7. Are they right?
  • Business investment has stagnated since the Brexit vote. What will revive it?
  • Productivity has declined since the financial crisis. How will it recover?
  • Why has a substantial part of the labour force disappeared since Covid?
  • And how is the tech sector affected by all the negativity?

The Chancellor’s budget on March 13 will answer some of these questions…

… Join us on the evening of Thursday 23rd March where we’ll bring together the experts, cut through the confusion, and provide not only everything you need to know about the financial forecast but also the effect on you and your business.

We’re excited to be joined by our keynote speaker the Rt Hon Sir Vince Cable who will assess where we are at that point and look for positive signs of recovery.

Vince retired from parliament after 20 years as MP for Twickenham, during which he served in the Coalition Cabinet as Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills (2010-15) and Leader of the Liberal Democrats (2017-19). On 2nd July 2022 he was announced as Vice President of the European Movement. His accounts on the budget have been described as “lethally accurate”.

We will then hear from a panel who will provide their own perspectives from across the tech ecosystem.

This is your go-to event for everything you need to know about the economic outlook.
